Oura
For this project, I focused on addressing the increasing societal issue of drink spiking, which affects many individuals, particularly women. With 62% of victims being women and 44% of U.S. college students reporting experiences with drink spiking, this issue often goes unreported due to fear and stigma. I propose leveraging Oura Ring's wearable technology to introduce a feature that can detect harmful substances in users' systems. By continuously monitoring vital signs and alerting users to abnormal patterns, Oura can empower individuals, particularly young women in social settings, to prioritize their safety and well-being.
This project introduces a mobile app extension for the Oura Ring aimed at addressing post-pandemic stress and mental health challenges among remote workers and wellness-focused individuals. It highlights how the extension uses personalized wellness insights derived from users' sleep, activity, and stress data to improve routines, manage stress, and enhance mental well-being. The design process involves understanding user pain points such as stress management, work-life balance, and the lack of personalized mental health tools. Features include customized routines, mindfulness activities, and a journaling tool for self-reflection and tracking emotional progress. The project emphasizes fostering balance and resilience in a fast-paced world, with the tagline, "Balanced mind, better life."
